SemperT’unos is an academic Tuna founded in 2004, the result of an initiative by a group of students seeking to promote and uphold the academic spirit, both at Health School of the Polytechnic University of Setúbal and in the city of Setúbal. A Tuna is a part of the tradition of Academic groups, wich is a musical ensembles made up of higher education students in Portugal who, dressed in academic regalia, perform a repertoire of traditional and popular music, contributing to the preservation and promotion of academic cultural practices.
Currently comprising around 35 members, SemperT’unos are guided by a strong sense of identity and cohesion, reflected in the very name they have adopted: the continuity of the tuno spirit and the promotion of unity among its members. They are distinguished by the commitment, dedication and rigour they bring to every performance, whilst simultaneously fostering moments of camaraderie, cultural dynamism and academic representation
