Welcome to the School of Health at the Polytechnic University of Setúbal!
We offer undergraduate and post graduate education in a range of health fields. Over the past 26 years we have worked with the highest academic standards, our students are known to achieve significant successful rates in their studies, report high levels of satisfaction with the school and their programmes and, our employability rate is very close to 100%. This makes us proud!
Our scientific development shows a steady increase in number and quality of scinetific publications as well as nationally and internationally funded research projects. We can affirm today that we actively contribute to the production of knowledge, its transfer into practice and the respective improvement of health care.
We promote student-centered teaching & learning processes, focused on competence development. We also focus on lifelong learning, aiming at continuously updating health professionals who want to base their practice on the best available evidence and are socially committed. We believe that the interconnection between learning and:the research carried out; the inspired and consolidated relationship with partners from different community institutions; the opportunities for internationalization; are determining factors for the education we offer and the culture and environment experienced at school.
Students will find a highly qualified teaching team committed to ensuring close, personalized support, geared towards academic and professional success. They also have a team of non-teaching staff who ensure, with competence and dedication, that all goes well in their stay at school.
