Communication is an essential competency in person-centered care. Evidence suggests that good quality communication skills improve the effectiveness of health interventions.

This International Semester will give you an opportunity to develop your communication skills through an Inter-professional Community Health Project developed in a local organization. Here you will have the opportunity to work in a team together with other students from healthcare and to contribute to the organization’s quality of care, while developing your own communication competences (for instance with peers, specific client groups, formal or informal carers’, families, among others).

• ECTS: 30
• Alternatively, if you would prefer a shorter mobility with us, focused on this theme, you can choose any unit, excluding the Project.
• The working language is English and you are expected to be in Setúbal, Portugal, for 15 weeks.
